Ease-In (3 days before daily cleanse schedule)

Days 1-3 Before Starting Cleanse

Although it’s optional to do, easing into your Lemonade Cleanse is a great first step. It allows your body and mind to adjust more slowly to the dietary changes of the 10-day Lemonade Cleanse. The ease-in system is a 3-day process, which allows you to eat only fresh fruits and vegetables, smoothies, and juices.

The all-natural foods you eat during these 3 days do not fill your colon up with binding or constipating foods. It will make your first days of Daily Detox and the use of Herbal Laxatives and Salt Water Flush much gentler. I have always found it to be a very nice way to begin my cleanse.

How To Do Ease-in Days 1, 2, 3

The ease-in process takes 3 full days right before the 10 days of Lemonade Cleansing. The ease-in is optional, but I highly recommend it. It allows your body to adjust to the master cleanse detoxification system. It will also ease you into your daily detox. Follow the simple guidelines for the days as listed below.

Day 1: Fruits and Vegetables

The first day of your ease-in, eat as many fresh fruits and vegetables as you like. This is also known as a “Living Food Diet”. This diet includes fresh squeezed fruit juices as well. Try to limit potatoes and fruits that are high in sugar such as bananas and grapes. For delicious raw food recipes and preparation, check out My Book. Enjoy sampling new types of fruits and vegetables.

Day 2: Juicing and Smoothies

The second day of this easing in process involves taking the fresh fruits and vegetables that you were eating yesterday…and juicing them. Pureeing them in a blender and enjoying smoothies is also recommended. Drink as much as needed throughout the day. Try different juice and smoothie combinations. I included a few of my favorites in my book.

Day 3: Orange Juice

On the third day of easing in, only consume fresh squeezed orange juice throughout the day. Make sure that the oranges you choose are ripe and fresh. Do not drink store bought orange juice because it includes extra sugars, sweeteners, and preservatives. Remember, you want this to be a wholesome, natural process.

I like to add a bit of Pure Maple Syrup to my orange juice and some Purified Water to taste. The maple syrup gives me added energy throughout that third day.

After your 3 ease-in days you will be ready for the Lemonade Cleansing portion of the master cleanse system. At this point, your system will be better accustomed to a liquid diet.

Why It’s Recommended

The ease-in is considered optional by the standards of the master cleanse detoxification system. You can, in other words, simply jump into your lemonade cleansing without the ease-in. This would mean going from the foods you normally eat to a 10-day diet of only the liquid Lemonade Mixture.

I would not recommend this to anyone…especially first timers. I, among many others, believe that it is important to give your body the time it needs to get ready for the cleansing process. The Lemonade Cleanse can be uncomfortable, which is what makes it important to communicate a dietary change to your GI tract beforehand. In my mind, going without the ease-in would be quite shocking to your system.

So please, go ahead and start with the 3 days of the Ease-In. I have provided the basic steps for you during these days. For a better explanation and fabulously fresh ease-in recipes, refer to my book, The Refresh Button.
